Corporations have jumped on the Mindfulness bandwagon, persuading employees that they should practice stress reduction on their own, rather than organize to change the conditions that caused the stress.

Meditation is great on an individual level. The issue is that a lot of the stresses of modern life are systemic and need collective action to change. However, people are being trained to believe that they should try to relieve their own stress individually rather than work collectively to change the systems that cause the stresses.
