Being nice and ethical is a burden to being effective and a constrain to freedom of doing whatever it takes to get the results. That’s why democrats seem always struggling with what they say or don’t say, trying not to piss people off. It’s tough to be nice and effective. Without decency and nobility, humans are increasingly decaying, disgusting and cynical. Anything that matters is a constant dance of different forces.
Trump’s best option is to get pardoned during his remaining presidential term.

I’m not sure you can be pardoned in advance. I think you need to be convicted of a crime before you can be pardoned for it.
