Being nice and ethical is a burden to being effective and a constrain to freedom of doing whatever it takes to get the results. Without decency and nobility, humans are increasingly decaying, disgusting and cynical. Anything that matters is a constant dance of different forces.

I’m not sure you can be pardoned in advance. I think you need to be convicted of a crime before you can be pardoned for it.
